The first couple of baskets shown below, are from two classes that I took at WildCraft Studio.
The first project reflects weaving a Pack Basket and the second is weaving a Melon Basket. These classes inspired my continual passion and exploration of basketry and dying with with botanical materials. Enjoy!
PACK BASKET
Dye baths from left to right: Marigold, Madder and Oak Galls.
Shown above, I gravitated towards marigold which provided a rich and vibrant Goldenrod Yellow.
MELON BASKET
The second basketry class I had the opportunity to take was how to weave a Melon Basket.
